About Hoar Cross Hall's Pastry Sous Chef Opportunity

The Pastry Sous Chef role at Hoar Cross Hall is an excellent chance to join a luxury spa resort and stately home. As a key member of the Kitchen Team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Pastry Chef in daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production of our exquisite desserts and pastries. Your passion for creating bespoke and delectable treats will be a valuable asset to our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on menu development, introducing new and exciting dessert creations
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all pastry and dessert items, maintaining high-quality standards
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and educational work environment
  • Manage stock levels and inventory for the pastry section, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality from our suppliers


Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role at a high-end restaurant/hotel
  • Proficiency in pastry techniques
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating innovative and visually appealing desserts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
