Overview

This is a part-time Nurse Assessor opportunity for a leading employer, offering a unique chance for nurses, paramedics, and occupational therapists to expand their clinical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

As a Functional Specialist, you will be responsible for providing unbiased and comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP). Your role will involve delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports. You will also have the opportunity to work autonomously, managing caseloads from start to finish.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified nurse, mental health nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or paramedic with at least one year of post-qualification experience. You will also need to hold valid registration on the NMC or HCPC without any restrictions. Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy are essential for this position.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary, ranging from £38,500 to £41,500 per year, plus a 5% retention bonus, rising to 10% quality and retention bonus. The position also includes hybrid working options, with full-time and part-time roles available.
