This is an exciting opportunity for Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Paramedics to take on a new challenge and further their careers as a Functional Specialist. The role involves providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for the service user.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR)
* Manage caseloads from end to end, including delivering assessments and managing cases to conclusion
* Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments
Requirements:
* Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic
* 1+ years post-qualification experience
* Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions
* Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
What We Offer:
* Competitive salary of £38,500 - £41,500 per year
* 5% retention bonus, rising to 10% quality and retention bonus
* OTE: £45,650
* Hybrid, full-time, and part-time options available
* Training options: 12 weeks (full-time), 14 weeks (4 days per week), and 17 weeks (3 days per week)
