Freight Sales Representative

We are a freight shipping company based in Selby, just off the M62. Our company services a wide range of UK exporters and importers, handling time-sensitive air freight and worldwide sea freight as well as European express transport.

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is £23,000 - 25,000, plus commission expected to be around £4,000. The package also includes a pension, holidays, and bank holidays.
Job Description
In line with our business goals, we're looking to strengthen our sales team by taking on a new internal sales executive. This permanent position will commence immediately.
Key responsibilities include account management, generating and calculating freight quotations, drafting and sending sales correspondence, follow-up calls, managing the sales process through to closure, ensuring quotes are completed promptly, and client visiting where required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have sales or customer service experience, freight forwarding or export sales experience (ideally), key account management experience with proven success in developing relationships, and good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
A confident communicator with a 'can-do' sales/customer service orientation is essential for this role.
