About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Volunteer Coordinator to join our Rehoming & Fostering team in Hertfordshire. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and engaging environment for our volunteers, ensuring they contribute to our mission of providing love, attention, and support to pets in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and support a diverse team of volunteers
  • Work closely with Centre Managers and Assistant Managers to ensure volunteers are fully integrated into the team
  • Build relationships with local communities and partners to promote the benefits of volunteering
  • Develop and implement effective volunteer management strategies

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of supervision or management of volunteers
  • Good experience of running recruitment campaigns
  • Experience of working with local communities
  • Good experience of actively managing a bank of clients or volunteers
  • High standards of verbal and written communication
  • Previous experience in working in a client-focused environment
  • IT literate with MS Office and web-based databases and platforms
  • An awareness of health and safety legislation
  • Current full driving licence
