We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Condensed Matter Physics. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of condensed matter/materials physics, as well as developing and delivering high-quality teaching to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in condensed matter/materials physics, with a focus on experimental investigations of magnetic systems, such as topological magnetic materials and quantum magnetism.
  • Establish collaborations with international research facilities, such as x-ray and neutron sources.
  • Develop and deliver research-led teaching in an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Supervise postgraduate students and contribute to the development of the department's research programme.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Physics or a related subject.
  • Established record of research at an internationally competitive level.
  • Potential for teaching and postgraduate student supervision.
  • Clear commitment to developing an inclusive and welcoming working environment.
