About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Adviser to join our Medical Workforce Team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive Medical HR Service to meet the needs of our divisions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of employment, including contracts of employment, interpretation of terms and conditions of service, and policies and procedures.
  • Lead on major medical and dental recruitment campaigns for the Trust, ensuring a robust medical and dental recruitment service in line with the NHS Employment Checks Standard, Care Quality Commission, and NHSLA requirements.
  • Responsible for advertising all medical and dental appointments and monitoring progress on TRAC, issuing contracts, and ensuring the organisation of Consultant appointments is conducted in accordance with trust policy, the NHS Appointment of Consultant regulations, and Royal College protocols.
  • Monitor emails from line managers and escalate to the Medical Workforce Team Leader as appropriate.
  • Produce KPI reports on a weekly basis and distribute to the Clinical Business Units (CBUs).
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent experience in an HR environment.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • IT qualifications such as ECDL or equivalent level of computer literacy using all Microsoft office packages.
  • Associate Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
  • Experience of working in a recruitment role, planning, managing, and monitoring projects for improvement, and developing, documenting, and managing the delivery of Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience of advising managers on the employment Terms and Conditions for all Medical and Dental Staff, and a working knowledge of employment law.
  • Previous HR experience with the NHS and medical recruitment experience in setting up advisory appointments committee for consultants.
