Job Summary

The Senior Associate - Consumer Duty Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Consumer Duty team at the Royal Bank of Canada. This individual will be responsible for assisting with reporting processes, maintaining Consumer Duty Management Information, and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Consumer Duty Reporting
    • Engage with data and action owners to ensure accurate and timely reporting
    • Draft and finalize reports to meet regulatory requirements
  • Implement New Processes and Procedures
    • Work with the line manager to develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Build and Execute Plans for Consumer Duty Reporting
    • Work with the team to develop and execute plans for Consumer Duty reporting post-integration
    • Ensure that all reporting requirements are met and that data is accurate and up-to-date
  • Embed Consumer Duty in the Business
    • Support the embedding of Consumer Duty in the business by providing advice and guidance to stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive procedural documentation
  • Monitor and Respond to Ad-Hoc Requests
    • Monitor and respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders as needed
Requirements
  • Technical Competency
    • Good Microsoft technical competency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience
    • Experience of producing Management Information and reporting
    • Risk awareness knowledge and experience
    • Excellent customer service and stakeholder experience
  • Skills
    • Strong organizational, communication, and influencing skills
