London, Greater London, United Kingdom North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in schools across the North West. As an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with qualified professionals to support young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Your role will involve delivering evidence-based interventions and helping children and young people access specialist services when needed. You will also support staff in education settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.

Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical and mental health services in the North West, serving over 1.4 million people. We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health, and we are committed to providing 'perfect care' that is safe, effective, timely, equitable, and efficient.

You will be working in partnership with children, young people, their families, and educators to develop skills in supporting children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. You will engage with senior staff in signposting referrals for children and young people with more complex needs to relevant services.

We are looking for candidates with significant experience working with children and young people, particularly those with mental health needs. You will need to have knowledge of safeguarding procedures, care planning, risk assessment, holistic assessment, and supervision.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families. If you are passionate about mental health and wellbeing, and have the skills and experience to match, we encourage you to apply.
