Job Summary:

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Ayrshire Central Hospital. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work collaboratively with adults with diagnosed or suspected neurological conditions and traumatic brain injury, undertaking a lead role in the assessment, treatment, management, and discharge planning of patients with a variety of neurological conditions, often with complex rehab needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with adults with diagnosed or suspected neurological conditions and traumatic brain injury
  • Undertake a lead role in the assessment, treatment, management, and discharge planning of patients with a variety of neurological conditions, often with complex rehab needs
  • Possess specialist neuro physiotherapy skills and knowledge
  • Highly skilled verbal and non-verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with patients with complex communication impairments
  • Promote a rehabilitation ethos within a multi-disciplinary neurological rehab team

Requirements:

  • Diploma/MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy
  • Current Health Professions Council registration
  • Recognised additional postgraduate qualifications relevant to the post
  • Practice education and clinical development of others

Working Hours:

37 hours per week (Job share and part-time hours will be considered)

Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role
