Job Summary:

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team at Ayrshire Central Hospital. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work collaboratively with adults with diagnosed or suspected neurological conditions and traumatic brain injury, undertaking a lead role in the assessment, treatment, management, and discharge planning of patients with a variety of neurological conditions, often with complex rehab needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions, including those with complex communication impairments.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary neurological rehab team to promote a rehabilitation ethos.
  • Develop and deliver specialist neuro physiotherapy skills and knowledge to patients and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the practice education and clinical development of others.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Current Health Professions Council registration.
  • Recognised additional postgraduate qualifications relevant to the post.
  • Practice education and clinical development of others.

Working Hours:

37 hours per week (Job share and part-time hours will be considered).

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
