Position Overview:

We have openings for two Physiotherapists at Ayrshire Central Hospital, within the Enhanced Intermediate Care Team (eICT). This multidisciplinary team focuses on providing rapid assessments of service users' needs, offering alternatives to hospital admissions, and facilitating smooth and timely discharges from hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments and provide short-term intensive rehabilitation and support to service users.
  2. Work collaboratively with patients and their families to ensure the best care outcomes.
  3. Engage with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality services across various professions and agencies.

Qualifications and Experience:

A diploma or degree in physiotherapy is required, along with proven experience working autonomously in community settings. Candidates should demonstrate extensive clinical experience and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Opportunities to enhance skills in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Social Care will be available, promoting inter-professional collaboration.

Essential Skills:

Strong communication skills are crucial for effective teamwork within the multidisciplinary framework. Knowledge of Older People's Services, Care Management, and the Rehabilitation Framework is essential, along with a genuine interest in inter-professional and inter-agency collaboration.

Work Schedule:

This position includes one permanent post and one fixed-term post, with hours to be determined. The service operates seven days a week, requiring weekend work on a rota basis.

Driving Requirements:

A valid UK driving licence and car ownership are essential for this role.
