About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at PSR Solutions. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual activities on assigned sections of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive cost estimation and prepare accurate cost plans to ensure project financial success.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms to minimize risks and maximize benefits.
  • Monitor project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the project team to address commercial issues and find cost-effective solutions to drive project success.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports on project financial performance to stakeholders.
  • Conduct cost and value reconciliations, as well as interim and final account agreements to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, or vast experience as a Quantity Surveyor ready to step up.
  • Strong background in working on large-scale projects with a minimum value of 10 million.
  • Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Chartered membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of various forms of construction contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
