As a Sous Chef at Metropolitan Pub Company, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service standards. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the kitchen team, ensuring open communication and a positive working environment.
  • Ensure that all kitchen operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and health and safety protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head Chef to achieve kitchen targets and objectives, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a large, fresh food-focused pub or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, as well as company specifications.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate the kitchen team to achieve high standards.
  • Competent understanding of kitchen operations, including inventory management and stock control.
