Railway Signalling Maintenance Team Lead

As a Team Leader for Signalling Maintenance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of work on the rail network. You will be responsible for directing and inspiring a team of operatives involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing safety arrangements and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures
- Directing and motivating a high-performing team to achieve efficient and high-quality results
- Compiling reports and maintaining accurate records of work activities
- Developing and implementing effective training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
You will work closely with equipment including signals, level crossings, and points systems, and will have the opportunity to develop a range of technical skills across manual, electrical, and digital equipment.
As a Team Leader, you will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team to achieve excellence. You will also be required to work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of work activities.

This is a safety-critical role, and you will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing and pass a medical assessment and BPSS pre-employment checks. You will also need to hold a driving licence (category B) and be within a 60-minute commute of the location you are applying for.
