Senior Network Director for Critical Care and Trauma Services

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Network Director to lead our Critical Care and Trauma Services. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to progress their career in a regional and strategic role.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight of both networks, informing and progressing the delivery of work plans that reflect the changes in commissioning arrangements for both services and align with national SSCN specifications.
This challenging yet rewarding role requires a proven track record of delivering strategic leadership at an organisational or network level, with extensive experience in working within a higher senior leadership position within an acute provider setting.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the core SSCN team to ensure both networks deliver an annual work plan aligned to their respective SSCN Specification.
- Facilitate cross-organisational engagement and activity, bringing together clinicians and managers from commissioning, provider organisations, and educational institutions to develop services and care in a consistent and equitable manner.
- Create a climate of innovation and improvement, leading to the delivery of safer, higher-quality patient-centred care, acting as a conduit between commissioners and providers across an Integrated Care System (ICS) to provide monitoring, collaboration, and oversight of service delivery in line with national specifications and standards.
- Provide oversight and facilitate coordination of patient pathways between providers over a wide area to ensure equitable access to specialist resources and expertise, improving outcomes and quality standards.
- Extensive experience of working within a higher senior leadership position within an acute provider setting.
- Proven delivery of strategic leadership at an organisational or network level.
- Detailed understanding of the clinical and operational delivery aspects of the SSCN specialist pathways and other interfacing clinical specialities and services.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate, challenge, complex, and sensitive information.
- Ability to think and operate both tactically and strategically at both an internal and cross-organisational level.
