About the Role

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Director of Critical Care and Trauma Networks. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong clinical and operational management expertise, as well as excellent communication and influencing skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the core SSCN team to deliver an annual work plan aligned to the SSCN Specification and reflective of national and local regional needs and priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-organisational engagement and activity to develop services and care in a consistent and equitable manner.
  • Provide oversight and coordination of patient pathways between providers to ensure equitable access to specialist resources and expertise, improving outcomes and quality standards.
  • Ensure the network team is equipped to provide objective, specialist expertise and advice to support provider Trusts in service delivery, improvement, and coordination of commissioned pathways.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience of working within a higher senior leadership position within an acute provider setting.
  • Proven delivery of strategic leadership at an organisational or network level.
  • Strong clinical and operational management expertise, as well as excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the wider functioning of the NHS, including the commissioner and provider interface and landscape.
