About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Beaufort Education and Care. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional development of looked-after children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building strong relationships with children who have experienced traumatic backgrounds
  • Supporting their educational and emotional growth, helping them heal and thrive
  • Planning engaging activities, encouraging leisure interests and promoting a safe home environment
  • Fostering a structured and comfortable living space, adhering to regulatory standards
Requirements:
  • Dedication to child safeguarding and protection
  • Effective communication skills, forming trusted relationships with children
  • Passion for making a positive difference in children's welfare
  • Resilience and patience in handling challenging behaviors
  • Proactivity in activity planning and ability to handle 'life skills'
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in IT to document child needs
Essential Qualifications:
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to pursue relevant qualifications like NVQ Level 4
Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £22,176 per annum, pro-rata, plus overtime opportunities. We also offer a range of benefits, including part-time work/life balance, six weeks' holiday (pro-rata), and comprehensive induction training.
