We are Prysmian Group, a global cable player leading the energy transition and digital transformation.

Our Wrexham site is a manufacturing site as well as an Energy Network Solution hub, employing around 350 workers.

We produce Low, Medium, and High Voltage cables up to 132kV, as well as accessories and components, using high-grade, fire-resistant materials along with submarine cables used for offshore wind farms.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor to support our team in Wrexham.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring legislative compliance, fostering safe working practices, and safeguarding the well-being of our employees, assets, and environment.

The Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor will provide comprehensive support in Health, Safety, and Environmental matters, ensuring a safe environment for production and continuous improvement for personal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct new risk assessments for processes and review and update existing ones.
  • Produce and deliver presentations covering various HSE issues.
  • Deliver workplace inductions for visitors, contractors, and new starters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Behavioural Safety initiatives.
  • Support site environmental management, including the compilation and management of site environmental data.
  • Organise statutory HSE training programmes to ensure the company meets all statutory requirements.
  • Update current training files and produce new documents as required.

The successful candidate must have solid experience conducting risk assessments, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable with training, conflict management, and approaching challenging situations are essential.

IOSH Managing Safely certification is a minimum requirement (NEBOSH General Certificate would be advantageous).

Computer literacy, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is also required.

A self-starter, proactive, and prepared to take the initiative, the successful candidate will work without direct supervision.

Be prepared to undertake training as required to enable fulfillment of the job role.
