Job Title: Senior Scientific Manager/Laboratory Manager

Novogene Europe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientific Manager/Laboratory Manager to oversee our laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the lab platform, ensuring seamless operations across multiple departments.
  • Optimize NGS protocols and automate laboratory procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with site quality management systems, health & safety procedures, and regulatory requirements (ISO17025, GCLP, Human Tissue Act (2004)).
  • Monitor project progress and quality, effectively communicate with teams, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Formulate and update production plans, arrange pipeline to ensure smooth operation, and instruct team leaders to perform data analysis.
  • Establish responsibilities for team members, supervise their duties, and conduct departmental reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, biotechnology, or similar field.
  • Minimum 5 years of production laboratory experience and 2 years of team management experience with over 10 staff.
  • Strong teamwork ethic, commitment to delivering results under tight deadlines, and high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and PCR, qPCR, and NGS-based analysis is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is preferable for HQ reporting.
