We deliver high-quality learning and outdoor programs designed to support the needs of our vulnerable young people and work closely with schools across the Southwest to provide an inclusive education provision.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced youth support worker to join our team as an Outdoor Education Leader and Support Worker. The successful candidate will have a passion for empowering children and young people and will be responsible for planning and delivering bespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups and needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver outdoor education programs for children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Work closely with schools and other stakeholders to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to young people in a variety of outdoor settings, including forests, parks, and other natural environments.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and deliver training programs for staff and volunteers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to outdoor education and youth support.
Requirements
  • Driving license (essential)
  • Right to work in the UK (essential)
  • Experience working with children and young people with additional learning needs and/or emotional and behavioural difficulties (desirable)
  • Qualifications in outdoor education, youth work, or a related field (desirable)
  • First aid and safeguarding training (desirable)
  • Ability to commute to Taunton, TA2 8QN (required)
