We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Research Scientist to join our team at the Francis Crick Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, cell culture, and genomics, and will be responsible for designing and performing experiments to develop novel sequencing technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and perform experiments with tissue culture cells
- Develop and optimize novel genomics protocols
- Work in collaboration with other lab members to achieve project goals
- Record keeping and data analysis
- BSc or equivalent in biochemistry or molecular biology
- Good knowledge and experience in eukaryotic gene regulation, including PCR reactions and primer design
- Experience in molecular biology and gene expression assays
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
- PhD in molecular and cellular biology
- Experience developing molecular biology and/or sequencing methods
- Experience with mouse embryonic stem cell culture and differentiation systems
- Experience with single-cell sequencing methods
