As a Paediatric Palliative Care Assistant with the NHS, you will play a vital role in providing respite, palliative and bereavement care to children with life-limiting conditions. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of children and their families, creating a supportive environment that makes a real difference in their lives.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • To develop and maintain relationships with children and their families, understanding their unique needs and preferences.
  • To work flexibly alongside families, supporting them in their preferred manner and maintaining close liaison with other practitioners and agencies involved in their care.
  • To contribute to the creation of a homely and welcoming environment, promoting comfort and relaxation for children and families.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification in children's healthcare or a related field, with experience working with children and families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. A salary of £40,000 - £48,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.
