Cost Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering end-to-end cost management services to our clients, ensuring that their objectives are met through effective cost planning, estimation, and control.
This is a senior role that requires strong leadership and technical skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commissions of varying sizes, depending on project complexity, typically within the £10m to £50m range.
- Coach junior staff, allocate roles and responsibilities, and ensure effective cost management on all projects.
- Advise clients on feasibility studies, procurement options, and tendering processes.
- Manage estimating and cost planning stages, including presenting final cost plans to clients.
- Conduct contract administration, deal with post-contract cost variances, and manage change control processes.
- Take personal responsibility for peer reviewing cost allowances and carrying out valuations on larger projects.
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports via our Cost Control App and present them to clients.
- Negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Interface with clients, project managers, and other consultants at all project stages.
- Work collaboratively with Turner and Townsend's project management team during project delivery.
- Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities.
- Ability to work with autonomy and take initiative to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Chartered status and a confident, professional manner.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize own workload.
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business.
- Ability to work well under pressure and delegate tasks to junior team members.
- A proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services.
- Professionally qualified (RICS or similar) and degree or HNC level qualification.
