Paediatric Respiratory Specialist - Locum Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Respiratory Specialist to join our team on a locum basis. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive care to children with respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis, sleep disorders, and chronic lung disease.

About the Role

This is a 12-month locum position, providing maternity cover for one of our specialist paediatric respiratory consultants. You will work closely with our team of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

  • Providing clinical care to children with respiratory conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care to patients
  • Participating in clinical governance activities, including audit and quality improvement
  • Contributing to teaching and training of medical staff
  • Participating in research activities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • MBBCh or equivalent qualification
  • MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
  • CCT in Paediatrics and Paediatric Respiratory Medicine or equivalent
  • Current APLS certification
  • Level 3 safeguarding training for children
