This fantastic nursery located in the Brighton area is seeking a Lead Nursery Teacher to join their expanding team. The nursery is committed to providing quality childcare for parents and carers of children aged 0-5 years. As a Senior Nursery Teacher, you will be responsible for leading the team to create engaging activities in the nursery and forest school. You will also support the children's development and use your initiative to help them succeed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be aware of and take responsibility for all aspects of health, safety, and security.
  • Oversee all children and manage their developmental stages, maintaining accurate records of observations, assessments, and plans for individual needs.
  • Work in partnership with parents/carers to encourage open communication and involvement in the nursery setting.
  • Be an inspiring role model for children and set high expectations that motivate and challenge them.
  • Take responsibility for the support, development, and motivation of colleagues.
  • Comply with the EYFS framework, its policies, and procedures, and associated documentation.
  • Ensure the curriculum is delivered to a high standard daily and consistently, and that all room colleagues are trained and competent in delivering quality education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience working in a nursery/primary/pre-prep environment in the last 2 years
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service
  • Flexibility and a fun personality that children will engage with
