The Nursery Lead (Outdoors) will lead educators on the Scandinavian Forest School approach and ensure that the quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding in the nursery outdoor environment, forest or beach School. They are creative and reflective leaders who work closely with the entire leadership team to implement new ideas and to continually improve practice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Use their knowledge of the areas of learning and deep understanding of how children learn to provide rich, varied and imaginative experiences that enthuse, engage and motivate children in the outdoor space.
- They will oversee the running of the Outdoor Adventure Education Program including visits to Forest School and Beach School.
- To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children.
- Work with the Pedagogocial Leaders on the curriculum and learning to reflect the Reggio Emilia/ Scandinavian Forest School approach of the nursery and how these can compliment.
- Value the outdoor environment and outdoor classroom as the third teacher; provide children with spaces that are beautiful and purposeful, for them to explore, through as many “languages” as possible.
- To work in partnership with all parents/carers, building and maintaining relationships that encourage trust, open communication and involvement in nursery life.
- To be professional and a good role model to the children and other staff members, at all times.
- To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, reporting any concerns immediately - in accordance with child protection and whistleblowing policies.
- Encourage and support others practice and professional development and to work flexibly as part of the larger team, assisting and supporting colleagues wherever required, to ensure the smooth running of the company
- To embrace, understand and promote Pumpkin Patch Nursery and to understand the role you play as a member of the management team in providing high levels of care and education.
- To uphold all Pumpkin Patch policies and procedures

**Salary**: Up to £26,520.00 per year
