About the Job

Amazon's Data Center Operations Team is looking for a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Data Center Operations Trainee. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations within an Amazon data center.

Your primary responsibilities will include risk management, vendor management, and maintaining performance benchmarks. You will also be responsible for generating Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for DCEO as directed.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need strong leadership and organizational abilities, as well as excellent communication skills. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities. You will also be involved in routine maintenance and emergency services on critical systems.

Requirements:

  • Interest in maintenance of a data center or critical space facility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Facilities Management mindset.
  • Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Security protocol awareness.
  • Computer literate, confident with Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree Cert IV and relevant experience.
  • Data Center Engineering/Operations Experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
