About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Sterilisation and Disinfection Technician to join our team at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of sterilisation and disinfection, ensuring the safe handling and processing of surgical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply and maintenance of surgical instruments
  • Checking, cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, and sterilising instruments
  • Delivering instruments to operating theatres, wards, departments, clinics, and GP surgeries

Requirements:

  • Good standard of education with literacy and numeracy skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read small letters on instruments and follow written instructions
