Job Title: Band 6 Children's Community Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Children's Community Nurse to join our team at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality nursing care to children and young people with a wide range of conditions and health needs in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing assessments, interventions, and care to children and young people in the community.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support and supervise junior staff, including nursing students, to ensure safe and high-quality care.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for children's community nursing teams.
  • Make clinical judgments based on specialist assessment, planning, implementing, and monitoring of children's care in the community setting.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's nursing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
