Job Summary

Lancashire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fleet vehicles and plant equipment, ensuring successful delivery of projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the procurement process by analyzing existing vehicle age and vehicle spec
  • Liaise with service users to understand their needs for new vehicles
  • Communicate with workshops regarding vehicle conditions and arrange disposal of vehicles coming out of the fleet
  • Lead on Fleet projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery
  • Update fleet records on the system
  • Schedule LOLER inspections

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized vocational or professional Mechanical qualification, plus a detailed knowledge and broad experience of running and monitoring the costs of multiple vehicle types. They will also have a good technical appreciation of vehicle and plant repair.
