About the Role
Lancashire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the Fleet department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet vehicles and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the procurement process by analyzing existing vehicle age and specification
- Liaise with service users to understand their needs for new vehicles
- Communicate with workshops regarding vehicle conditions and arrange disposal of vehicles leaving the fleet
- Lead on fleet projects and initiatives to ensure successful delivery
- Update fleet records on the system
- Schedule LOLER inspections
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a recognized vocational or professional mechanical qualification, along with a detailed knowledge and broad experience of running and monitoring the costs of multiple vehicle types. A good technical appreciation of vehicle and plant repair is also essential.
