We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a dedicated support partner for a person with epilepsy. This role requires someone who is honest, trustworthy, and punctual, with a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities.

About the Employer

The employer is a lady who lives with her husband and child, and she requires assistance with light housework, such as making teas and coffees, due to her condition. She also has a friendly pet dog that needs care and attention. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working around pets and have experience caring for animals.

Job Description
  • Support and/or prompt the individual with personal care, including toileting, showering/bathing, getting dressed, and using the bathroom.
  • Assist with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks, ensuring the individual's nutritional needs are met.
  • Help with household chores and general homemaking, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Accompany the individual to appointments, hospital visits, and other social activities, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Care for the individual's pet dog, including feeding, walking, and providing affection.
  • Transport the individual to school, work, college, or social activities, using a car and adhering to all safety protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Be honest, reliable, trustworthy, and punctual, with excellent communication skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy, adhering to all data protection regulations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Provide non-judgmental emotional support and care, listening actively and empathetically.
  • Have previous caring experience or a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities.
Estimated Salary

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
