About This Role

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Leader to join our team as Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at Apley Wood Primary Academy.

This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the Headship Team and the Senior Leadership Team to drive forward teaching excellence and inclusivity across the school. You will have a key role in leading and managing inclusion, including the SENCo responsibilities.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for 2 full days of teaching and contributing to curriculum planning, implementation, assessment, and recording. You will also inspire, lead, and motivate children and staff, being an exemplary practitioner who leads by example with high standards.

What We're Looking For
  • A relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven successful teaching experience with a strong track record of leadership
  • Leadership experience with a focus on curriculum development and student wellbeing
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people
