**Job Summary**

DigiKape Resourcing is a leading recruitment agency specializing in filling ad hoc shifts and providing temporary and permanent placements in the social care industry for both public and private sectors. We are urgently recruiting Care Workers to work within various settings and supported living accommodations.

**Job Purpose**

The purpose of this job is to provide personal care and general support to older people and individuals with dementia who require long-term residential care. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and dignity of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide physical care, including washing, dressing, bathing, and feeding clients with special needs arising from physical or mental deterioration
* Engage in social duties, such as talking to and motivating clients, helping clients maintain contact with family and community, and assisting with shopping and organizing group social activities
* Assist in creating a supportive and homely atmosphere where clients can achieve maximum independence
* Cooperate with domestic staff to best meet the personal needs of clients
* Contribute to the establishment of records, including support plans, where appropriate
* Escort clients outside the establishment as required, such as to hospital, opticians, etc.
* Attend relevant training courses as agreed with management staff
* Act in a general supervisory capacity with students and volunteers
* Assist with laundry duties and care of clients' items, including emptying and cleaning commodes, making and changing beds, cleaning and tidying lockers
* Provide care for the dying and attend to the needs of the deceased person and their relatives
* Assist management with the administration of medication
