We are seeking a skilled Lifestyle Activities Coordinator to enrich the lives of our residents at Hunters Down Care Home in Huntingdon. As a key member of our compassionate team, you will provide physical, emotional, and social support, making a meaningful difference every day.

Excelcare Holdings is a family-owned care home group established for over 34 years, providing the highest standards of care to older people with various needs. By joining our team, you will become part of a close-knit family and enjoy:

  • Competitive hourly rates of £12.00-£12.70, depending on experience and qualifications
  • 32.5 hours per week

About the role:

  • As the Lifestyle Activities Coordinator, you will create and organize engaging activities and a lifestyle program to enhance the lives of our residents
  • You will work closely with the team, family members, and residents to understand their needs and preferences, establishing a personalized approach to activities and lifestyle changes
  • This may involve partnerships with local community organizations, schools, colleges, churches, and other external groups, as well as planning days out to local attractions
  • The role aims to offer choice and empower residents to create a enjoyable and social environment, ensuring their individual outcomes are achieved

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in a similar role or a caring environment is desirable
  • Organizational and planning skills, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of older people
  • Confidence, a fun, can-do attitude, and excellent communication/written skills
  • A genuine desire to improve the lives of older people
