Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity to develop and maintain key system engineering policies, principles, frameworks, and artefacts to ensure the adoption of the INCOSE Systems Engineering framework within our organisation.

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will work closely with the Technical Delivery Leads and DCC architects to drive the adoption of the INCOSE Systems Engineering framework and engage with key project stakeholders to highlight the value that systems engineering will bring to our customers.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining key system engineering policies, principles, frameworks, and artefacts.
  • Evolving the SEMS/SEMP as projects evolve through the DCCs' System Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Captaining all actors (internal and external) involved with the delivering of engineering artefacts into DCCs' chosen Enterprise Tool (Bizzdesign) using ArchiMate/UML.
  • Evolving the Way-of-Working in DCC to streamline System Engineering adoption and improve the quality of delivered artefacts.
  • Collaborating with Technical Delivery Leads to assure the System Engineering artefacts can pass the DCC Governance.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrable experience in large to medium-scale System Engineering implementation and critical thinking.
  • Experience in the adoption and transformation of new standards across organisations.
  • Understanding standards-based Systems Engineering, e.g., ISO 15288 / INCOSE Systems Engineering handbook.
  • Leadership and management experience in Engineering matrix teams.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of approximately £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits.
