Energy Services Technician

We are proud to be recruiting on behalf of E.ON, a leading provider in the gas and electric metering market. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who hold core gas qualifications and are seeking to start a successful career in the Smart Metering Industry.
The role involves the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in domestic properties. You will work primarily with our Engineers in the field, responding to ongoing maintenance or emergency appointments while providing excellent customer service. We strive to keep customers well informed about the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meter.
You will have the opportunity to upskill further by obtaining your Gas metering qualification, MET1. During the 11-week training program, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,970 per annum, which will subsequently rise to £37,823 when signed off from the training program.
As a skilled Energy Services Technician, you can expect:
- A basic salary of £37,823 per annum, with realistic OTE reaching £48k per year (£40,974 basic salary if living in London inside the M25)
- A £1000 Safety Bonus paid at 6-month intervals
- A £1000 Attendance Bonus paid at 6-month intervals
- An uncapped additional productivity-related bonus
- An Additional Skill set bonus - £1000 added to salary for 3phase and/or Medium Pressure
- Regular overtime paid at time and a half and double time on Sundays

To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold current CCN1/CESP1 qualifications or equivalent aligned qualifications
- Have been gas safe registered for a minimum of 6 months
- Hold a current full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
- Display a positive attitude and great interpersonal skills that empower customer relations and drive best practice and proactive change for the better
- Show team spirit to assist colleagues and promote the company brand
- Be able to coach and develop others who are developing new skills and competencies
