At Childwall and Wavertree Primary Care Network, we are seeking an exceptional Clinical Associate Practitioner to join our team. In this exciting role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality patient care as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing nursing associate or a healthcare assistant looking to develop and train as a clinical associate practitioner. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the practice nurse with health promotion programmes.
  • Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately.
  • Facilitate ABPI.
  • Administer injections.
  • CARRY OUT NHS HEALTH CHECKS
  • CARRY OUT PHLEBOTOMY
  • DELIVER CLINICAL SESSIONS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF CHRONIC DISEASE CLINICS.
  • Act as a chaperone as required.
  • Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for onward transportation.
  • Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session.
  • Ensure fridges are monitored and cleaned routinely.
  • Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and sharps bins replaced in accordance with the practice IPC policy.
  • Deliver opportunistic health promotion where appropriate.
  • Cervical screening.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Nursing Associate foundation degree qualification.
  • Training if applying as a HCA wishing to train as a nursing associate.
  • Training and experience as a HCA, working in Primary Care.
