About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our team at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (FCAMHS), you will provide specialist services to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will be based in either Peterborough or Cambridge, with regular travel required across the East of England region. Our service works closely with various agencies to ensure integrated care provision across health, social care, education, and youth justice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specialised Services: Provide specialist services to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Mental Health Assessment: Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including risk assessments and evaluations.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work closely with other professionals, providing expert advice and consultation on mental health matters.
  • Service Development: Contribute to service development projects and research initiatives.
  • Clinical Supervision: Regularly participate in clinical supervision to maintain and enhance professional skills.
  • Training and Development: Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in adolescent forensic mental health.
Requirements
  • A recognised post-basic qualification in an evidence-based therapy.
  • Significant experience at Band 6 or equivalent of working in a mental health service, liaising with other professionals, and completing mental health assessments.
  • Experience of risk assessment and risk management.
