About the Role:

Cavendish Maine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join their established team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to a diverse range of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met with professionalism and competence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Account Executive in managing client portfolios, including contract renewal and setup.
  • Provide first-point-of-contact for external queries and issues, utilizing your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to meet client expectations.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients, ranging from smaller businesses to large corporate risks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of documentation associated with placing, amending, or renewing clients' insurance programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a high company image of professionalism, competence, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Previous account handling experience within a commercial insurance environment, with relevant technical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills, with commercial awareness.
  • Ability to assimilate large quantities of information quickly and support career development and progression.
