About the Role

Cavendish Maine is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join their established team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will provide support to the Account Executive in running the client portfolio, including setting up actions for contract renewal.

The Account Handler will be the first point of contact for external queries and issues, requiring strong skills and knowledge to meet client expectations. This is a hybrid position with 2 days/week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality and efficient service to clients.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to provide a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers.
  • Ensure all documentation associated with placing, amending, or renewing clients' insurance programmes is completed in a reasonable timescale and is accurate.
  • Contribute towards the development of a high company image of professionalism, competence, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Previous account handling experience gained within a commercial insurance environment and relevant insurance technical knowledge.
  • Good communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and assimilate large quantities of information quickly.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • An eagerness to progress with your CII qualification would be supported, but is not essential.
