Job Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Geophysical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering Team within the Site Engineering Department. As a critical member of our Offshore Renewables Business, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale global offshore wind projects. Your primary responsibilities will include managing site investigation activities from a geophysical engineering perspective, supporting and leading the development of survey strategy, and overall responsibility for the successful delivery of geophysical surveys. You will also provide technical support and advice on survey and equipment types, manage ground model development, and ensure compliance with industry guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Managing site investigation activities from a geophysical engineering perspective across the offshore project portfolio.
  2. Supporting and leading the development of survey strategy, survey duration, and cost estimates.
  3. Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of geophysical surveys, including managing the Owner's Engineer who performs the survey management.
  4. Providing technical support and advice on survey and equipment types to be used for all survey campaigns across the business.
  5. Managing and supporting ground model development activities for engineering design and installation purposes.
  6. Ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and best practices, and staying aware of suppliers and latest developments in technology.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in a relevant geophysical or geological discipline. You should have extensive experience in geophysical survey methods, including offshore acquisition, and the interpretation of geophysical datasets. Experience in ground model development using geophysical datasets, planning, managing, and executing offshore geophysical site investigations for large-scale projects is essential. Additionally, you should have knowledge of engaging with different stakeholders, balancing technical, commercial, and programme requirements, and integrating geotechnical and geophysical data. Proficiency in geophysical software tools and excellent communication skills are also required.
