Job Overview

Archangel Lightworks is a pioneering company in the field of wireless technology, building innovative solutions for space-enabled networks. We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge laser communications technology.

The successful candidate will work on a variety of tasks, including developing, testing, and maintaining embedded software for ground stations. This involves implementing hard real-time algorithms and software control systems, as well as working with high-speed comms protocol implementation. A strong understanding of hardware, IoT, and networking protocols is essential for this role.

Experience with continuous improvements of software processes, including automated tests, is also desirable. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the development, integration, testing, and operations of optical ground stations.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • At least 2 years commercial experience in a similar role
  • Excellent programming skills in C, FreeRTOS, and Python
  • Strong understanding of hardware, IoT, and networking protocols
