Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Media, Ethics & Social Change

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Lecturer in Media, Ethics & Social Change. This is a fixed-term position, funded through a research grant, that provides cover for faculty on leave.

As a Lecturer, you will teach remotely on our online distance learning degree MA Media, Ethics & Social Change. This degree teaches students how to use digital media in a meaningful way to bring about positive change across various sectors, and examines digital media in the context of activism and social justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver several short (7 week) modules on topics including digital media theory, digital media ethics, media and climate change, race, culture and media, public relations, and participatory media.
  • Convene, teach, and assess modules on these topics, and manage the online learning area and student discussions.
  • Develop a portfolio of scholarship and assist in some administrative duties related to the degree.
