Salary: Competitive + 15% extra remuneration package paid monthly

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of foster families and connected carers. As a key member of the Fostering Retention/Connected Carers Team, you will work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality support and guidance to foster carers, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular support and guidance to foster carers, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and reviews to ensure the needs of children and young people in care are met.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans to promote the well-being and stability of foster families.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting foster families and connected carers.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practice and policy developments in fostering and connected care, applying this knowledge to inform your work.
