Location: Middlesbrough Council

Salary: Competitive + 15% extra remuneration package paid monthly

Relocation Package: Up to £8,000 available

Hybrid Working: Available - service dependent

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to make a positive impact on the lives of foster families and connected carers. As a key member of the Fostering Retention/Connected Carers Team, you will work closely with foster families and carers to provide support and guidance, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to foster families and carers
  • Work closely with foster families and carers to identify and address challenges
  • Develop and implement support plans to help foster families and carers achieve their goals
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to support

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Knowledge of child welfare and family support principles
  • Experience working with foster families and carers
