Hardware Development Specialist for Lighting Controllers

Nicolaude UK is a leading provider of industry-leading lighting controllers, and we are seeking a skilled Hardware Systems Engineer to join our team in Brighton.

Salary: £50,000 per year

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced hardware developer with a strong engineering background to help us develop our cutting-edge lighting controllers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of embedded systems, C programming language, and experience working with peripherals such as USB, i2C, and SDRAM.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop high-quality electronic hardware for our lighting controllers
  2. Collaborate with our team to meet project deadlines and deliver results-driven solutions
  3. Develop and maintain PCB designs using Altium Designer or Cadence Allegro
  4. Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering background with a relevant degree, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with embedded systems, particularly NXP or ST micro-controllers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical ideas clearly
  • Confidence working with complex electronics and electronic design automation tools
