Care Team Supervisor Job Description
Job SummaryTudor Employment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to supervise our care team based in Burton-upon-Trent. This individual will work closely with managers to ensure the smooth operation of the home, providing direct support to children, mentoring and supervising staff, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervisory Role: Oversee the work of Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, offering guidance and support.
- Shift Organisation: Coordinate shifts, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Child Support: Foster positive relationships with children, providing emotional and practical support to create a secure and loving environment.
- Staff Support: Contribute to the training and ongoing development of staff, promoting best practices in child care and support.
- Emotional Support: Provide reassurance and support to children who may need it, addressing their concerns and anxieties.
- Making Memories: Offer our children opportunities and experiences to create happy memories.
We require individuals with previous experience working with children and young people in a similar setting. Essential skills include strong communication, the ability to connect with children, and teamwork with colleagues and other professionals. The willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, is also essential.
Compensation PackageThe annual salary for this position is approximately £28,000.
