Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Chelmsford, supporting four Business Units within Teledyne UK Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity of inventory accounts, periodic processing of financial inventory transactions and account reconciliations, and coordination of standard cost accounting processes and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and accounts
  • Process financial inventory transactions and reconcile accounts
  • Coordinate and execute standard cost accounting processes and updates
  • Support physical inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Work closely with business teams to ensure inventory accounting requirements are met
  • Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and procedures set by the Group
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders across all levels and functions of Teledyne-e2v
  • Contribute to the wider Teledyne UK Finance team

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of four years' experience in inventory accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Strong Excel and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and 'can-do' approach to work
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • SC Security Clearance Required
